Grade 6 Students visit the Upper School

The day started with a panel discussion with our senior students, followed with mini in-class experiences led by our Grade 7 students which included building towers out of newspaper, drum sessions, activities in French and a game of ‘chuck the duck’.

TMS Celebrates United Nations Day

On this significant day the TMS Community recognizes the importance of protecting human rights, peace and security for all, and supporting sustainable development and climate action. We chose to celebrate the diversity of our community as the United Nations’ purpose is to “maintain international peace and security, develop friendly relations among nations, achieve international cooperation and serve as a center for harmonizing the actions of nations.” Students wore clothing from a country they identify with whether culturally, within their own families or in terms of their self-identity.

Upper School Students compete in a National Public Speaking Competition

Congratulations to our Upper School students Aryana and Maryam who travelled to Vancouver to compete in a National Public Speaking Competition. Competing against 200 students from all over the world, we are very proud of their results. Both students broke into finals, with Maryam placing second overall in her After Dinner Speech, and Aryana placing in the top 10 overall for her Impromptu Speech.
